Born on 30 April, 1895 in Petrograd, Russia; died on 29 May 1946 in Shanghai, China; had wife Anna Reyer (nee Kasproff) and sons Alexander (1924–2004) and Vitaly, all of whom later emigrated to the USA.
Reyer's career in Shanghai started in 1920; he was president and general manager of the Reyer Construction Corporation. Reyer was the only Russian expatriate to be featured in George Nellist's Men of Shanghai (1933), and the list of his works is extracted from that book.
